Event Details

To deliver on its commitment to ensure that Indigenous businesses are provided meaningful opportunities to participate in the Accelerated Site Closure Program (ASCP), the Government of Saskatchewan is introducing the Indigenous Business Credit Pool. The Indigenous Business Credit Pool will create an incentive for participating licensees to work with eligible Indigenous contractors to complete work under the program. The pool will drive up to $30M in spending on eligible Indigenous businesses.

The government’s ASCP team will host town hall sessions on Thursday, January 28 and Friday, January 29 to deliver a detailed overview of the Indigenous Business Credit Pool and offer stakeholders the opportunity to ask questions and provide feedback. The Saskatchewan First Nations Natural Resource Centre of Excellence will house the list of eligible Indigenous major and minor contractors in their EXPORT database. The Center of Excellence EXPORT team will present in the town halls to provide attendees an introduction to the system.

Please note that the January 28 and 29 sessions will feature the same content, so attending only one of the two sessions is necessary.

For more information, please visit the Government of Saskatchewan’s ASCP website and access the detailed Question and Answer document and export.ca.
