Cummins (USA), Boeing (USA) & CAMSC Procurement Event

This event will help you diversify your client base via our relationship with CAMSC. Boeing (USA) and Cummins (USA) will be attending to meet with you - and you don't travel to Saskatchewan in mid-February for the weather -  they are serious.

Global Affairs Canada will briefly present on financial and consulting advice they can supply - much of it for free - in these export opportunities.

RBC (a CAMSC corporate member) will present briefly on how to build partnerships.

CAMSC will present briefly on CAMSC itself and becoming a certified CAMSC supplier (51% minority/Aboriginal ownership).

Background:

The event has been organised via our relationship with CAMSC. CAMSC is the Canadian Aboriginal and Minority Supplier Association – we were connected with them by Nutrien (Nutrien is on their Board – see https://www.camsc.ca/camsc_leadership). CAMSC member companies – most of them are household names – desire to procure from aboriginal or minority owned companies (as well as others). However, Aboriginal ownership is not a gateway for this event – it would just help.

So, we are also having RBC speak on how to build a partnership and Global Affairs speak on how to export goods/services into the USA.

To qualify for some if these major procurement opportunities – specifically those via CAMSC - you must become a “CAMSC certified supplier” (but other opportunities exist as well) – this is simple, not costly, and will be explained at the event – see https://www.camsc.ca/certification-process-fees. The basic requirement is at least 51% Aboriginal or minority ownership.

The round table event will feature information on CAMSC, business/legal information on how to attain their 51% ownership threshold, and procurement presentations and networking with Boeing and Cummins (for both Canadian and USA facilities, as well as Aboriginal and non-Aboriginal suppliers).
