SIMSA has worked with the University of Regina to develop a Micro-credential, to help you understand "What is Carbon Mitigation and why does it matter?" This will be the first offering of the course and it will be done virtually.

This three-day course will be offered over the following dates: October 20, 21 and 22

Note:  There are 2 options for registration: (1) pay all $1,800 up front or (2) pay $900 and become an NGen member (membership is free) and they pay the other $900. If you choose the $900 option (and why not) then once they fill out the registration they will be sent a link to fill out NGen’s form.

  • Carbon Capture Utilization and Storage (CCUS) in a Canadian context
  • Strategic approach to carbon mitigation through offset markets
  • Fundamentals of leadership in a carbon-restricted economy
  • Identifying measurement strategies
  • Fundamentals of lifecycle assessment for effective carbon management
  • Strategic utilization of mitigation tools, offsets, insets
  • Mapping carbon mitigation and economic factors for strategic decisions


Program Cost $1800 per person plus GST

Discounted rate of $900 for NGen members.  To join NGen go here (for free) - there is no commitment or cost, they just want to build a network.  SIMSA is already a member of NGen and they have been very helpful to SIMSA.
