Meet the next generation of employees and foster innovation at the Mining Hackathon event on Saturday, January 25th from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
To provide a catalyst to increase innovation in Saskatchewan’s mining sector, we will be hosting a hackathon for the students of the University of Saskatchewan in response the needs outlined in the IMII’s DEMOday (TBA).
A Hackathon is an event where students come together to brainstorm solutions to the industry’s needs and present their solutions to a panel of judges from industry.
You are invited join the students for the event from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30p.m. on January 25th, where you will be able to network with your prospective employees and University of Saskatchewan faculty. Prizes will be awarded to the best ideas. Admission is free for the event.
SIMSA and the IMII will also be hosting a DEMOday Launch event on January 16th.
The event is hosted by the Saskatchewan Industrial and Mining Suppliers Association (SIMSA) in collaboration with the Tech Innovation and Entrepreneurship program at College of Engineering at the University of Saskatchewan, and the International Minerals Innovation Institute (IMII).
