SIMSA has joined the Canada Eurasia Russia Business Association – see https://www.cerbanet.org/ to host a procurement event with procurement persons from EuroChem and Inkai September 28 and 8:00 am (a virtual event). It will open the other major potash and uranium region to SIMSA members. Our database will be a key function.  

Tim Gitzel - CEO of Cameco - will provide opening greetings.

Also, Mackenzie Driscoll (Senior Trade Finance Specialist, RBC) will present for 15-20 minutes on services, assurances, possibilities, etc. that RBC can provide into Russia and Kazakhstan.

The presentations will be followed by a virtual Networking session with EuroChem and Inkai buyers using the Remo platform. Please, review this guide on how to use the platform for smooth experience. With Remo you simply click on a table with the names of those you want to talk to, and then you are dropped into a video conference with them. One you are done there, just click on another table to move to a different conversation.


EuroChem is a global leading fertiliser producer, including potash - see https://www.eurochemgroup.com/ - based in Russia.

  • Lawrence Berthelet, Head of Mining Division, Eurochem – he will talk about company’s mining operations, types of equipment used, what kind of equipment, technologies, services etc., that the company might be interested in.
  • Irina Iglina, (position to be confirmed), Eurochem – she will provide an overview on the company’s procurement processes and provide contact information for companies who might want to offer their products to Eurochem


Inkai is a uranium producer which is owned 40% by Cameco and 60% by Kazatomprom, which is majority-owned by the Kazakh government - see https://www.cameco.com/businesses/uranium-operations/kazakhstan/inkai Presenting from Inkai will be their Deputy Director General on Operations - Diracca Anselme https://inkai.kazatomprom.kz/en/management/diracca-anselme-14
